go google 65mm or 70mm motion picture you uneducated cuck.
Pentax 645Z + smc FA 645 120mm 4.0
Some good full frame camera (maybe a 1dwhatever) of the canon brand. Just because I'm too lazy to learn the menus again. Some good fisheye lens, as sharp as possible. Housing would have to be maybe hugyfot or some other with proper domes, as the ikelites are a bit cheap, even if they are expensive. And domes of glass, that is!
Inon Z-240-strobes.
The sigma 70mm macro I already have and it's sharp enough. But I'd need some rectilinear lens for shooting customers so that would be a 10-20mm sigma maybe? I have heard it's good.
I do have to admit, I'm bad at gearfaggotry. My only bodies are the 50D and 40D for a spare. Gets the bills paid, meaning good enough!
i dont need any fucking more camera.
i need a damn car.

many used cars where I live that are cheaper than cameras
the insurance rates are a killer though

why... why would you ever do this.
Listen, I love my XA, but I love it because it's tiny and fits in my pocket with a slick cover to protect the lens.
This combines the worst aspects of the camera body and the lens. Now you have a bulky, unpocketable camera with no lens cap. With an unremarkable 35/2.8 lens that vignettes badly wide-open, has ugly bokeh, and weird lens flair in sunlight.
>>2943913
>why... why would you ever do this.
Because there were a fuckton of xa's that don't function anymore and its an easy fun project
>>2943920
its a garbage project.
>>2943921

>>2943921
I don't think photography is for you, dude
By your attitude towards using a lens like that on a camera it sounds like you don't actually enjoy taking pictures
>>2943928
>dont approve a specific diy project
>OMGZ U LITERALLY HATE ALL PHOTOGRAPHY!
maybe not at all?

All the qualities you listed there are usually the end results in one way or another for most diy projects and having an open mind towards dealing with some inconveniences can open you up to neat results

What's the point? I know I have an expensive camera by most standards, but this camera is literally just.. not worth it.
Any dslr with a kit lense would be ok, i learning

Why the 120mm in particular, just for the macro? as far as the telephotos go I feel the 150mm is a better lens overall; it's lighter, faster, and at f/8~11 the corners are sharper too.

No joke, I sold my Mamiya 6 and bought a car with the money. Sold the camera for $2500, bought the car for $2600.
Right now I'm wanting a Fuji Natura. That would make for a fantastic travel camera.
If I desire a piece of equipment it is because I need it. If I need a piece of equipment I go and buy it. I don't fag after gadgets for the sake of fagging

Yep, i love having the 1:1 capability.
>>2943989
Which one? The noble, patrician S, or some heap of shit?
I'll take a couple Zeiss Distagon F-mounts for my F3. F3 is already my dream camera for film. For digital... I dunno... a D750? Maybe a Fuji XT2 with a few nice x-mount primes.

One of my mates from my old town is a landscape photographer, traded most of his digital gear for this camera, never understood why.
>>2944195
>traded most of his digital gear for this camera, never understood why.
he traded all his overpriced stock of generic rocks for a block of the finest marble. he isnt a photographer anymore, he is now an artist.

The Natura S, with the 24mm 1.9

Can confirm, it's freaking awesome.
For a while the fuji GA645zi has been the object of my desire and in a week or so it shall be mine!

617mf is the equivalent of around 200 megapixels, with 20+ stops of dynamic range on some films.
Compared to the best full frame cropped down to that ratio, you get 30ish mp and 13 to 14 stops of dr.

Already have my dream camera, and I couldn't be happier.
>>2944683
Probably the only dream camera I've ever felt a hint of jealousy for. But, I've already given up small format film, and I can't justify getting back into it. My digital Pen does everything I ever used 35mm for.
Speaking of which, my digital Pen was my dream camera about 5 years ago. It's a bit outdated now, but I'm afraid whatever I would upgrade to just wouldn't work in exactly the same way. Maybe I'll upgrade... Eventually.
>>2944683
I was able to hold one the other day, I completely understand the price now. Such a well built camera
>>2944782
Go for the new Pen F if the prices drop anon
>>2944998
actually a pretty poor performing camera as far as the 20mp models go. I'll wait for the ep6, which they said will probably happen.
>>2944998
I really, really wanted to want that camera, but when I played with it in person I ended up sticking with my E-M5. Olympus focused too much on appearance and not enough on function.

I'm still jelly you cunt. Give it a weeek and you'll have shot more 120 film than most "film shooters" on /p/ get through in 6 months.
>>2949578
why not the fujifilm tx1? same camera but cheaper.
I'm a man of simple tastes. I dream of a Nikon D5 and either a 24-70 or 70-200mm f/2.8 or a longer prime, depending on what I'd be shooting.
>>2949617
Stop this meme. They're the same price in most places, if not more expensive. The internet has ruined this elusive "secret".
>>2949578
If you can't afford it, then you probably don't need it.
Shoot in pano 2.7:1 with a 24mm eqv lens only for over a year or more while saving your pennies. In that time a cheaper xpan will come up and you'll probably have given up on wanting to own and shoot one.
>>2949591
th-that's only because my camera is heavy.

im fucking getting a car, man. this shit cant be delayed any more.

Love my ga645zi. If I had to have just one camera and lens it would probably be this. Perfect to lug around on hikes. Love the little hood, I don't even bother with a lens cap. Do wish it could focus down to 30cm but it's a rangefinder so who'd expect that. And would love to have spot metering. Center weighted is a bit of a guess for landscape.
I just brought my dream camera today feels good.

For film use of course.
Large sensor (APS-C or bigger) compact with a 50mm equivalent lens. My favorite focal length and I don't like that I have to carry something big to use it.
