Stock is ok for few hundred euros a month. For more it's hard everyday work and your photos better stand out and have production,... Competition is huge and it's not easy and fast money but when you build your portfolio it's more or less constant income. There is large amount of stock sites out there, I would recommend you only concentrate on the "big 5".
Beside weddings, family photography, babies, children, portraits, events, projects... Be "aggressive" and offer yourself to the market, if you just wait for customers to come you will fail miserably...

the only way left to make money in photography is shooting real-estate for $25-$75 per house. if you do it right you can make $50+ an hour, but it is quick and dirty work with absolutely no quality.
