No you cannot have a copy of the (relatively large) image that was used to produce the book, unless the owner explicitly allows that.

No we don't have any control over the tiny images that the blurb preview pdf contains. They are intended to be small; as a preview, and obviously so people buy the books.

No, you aren't likely to get anyone who bought the book to digitize it so you scabfags can get a high res digital copy.

I don't know how objective that statement is.
I got the previous one and to be honest they are all pretty much in the same ballpark.
Other peoples photos are rarely very amazing except for that one shot in a million that appeals.
I have a pile of photobooks that were given to me, and I find them boring as shit. Maybe that's because they suck, but maybe it's just that I'm into photography because I like my own photos...and the process/outcomes of actually being a photographic observer.
I only really contribute to and buy the book because of the novelty of having my photos in a collective hardcopy. Not becasue I know I'll enjoy the book per se.
The photos I do save becasue I enjoy are varied, and even if they were all in a book they would probably not be all that appealing anyway.
Collecting material objects like books isn't my thing either. Been there, done that. Hoarding and stagnation ensures.

All of the books have been ok. You just have to appreciate that they are a reflection of the /p/ community and a solid milestone we can look back at in time. Most photobooks are only that.
If 4chan didn't impart so such sperglord otaku we'd probably have photobooks of meetups.
