You fuckers don't find motivation, you create discipline to get off your ass and go for a walk/drive/train. Once doing that maybe something will motivate/inspire you to put the camera to your face to take a shot. Maybe not. Either way at least your out in the world experiencing something other than your computer screen and palm of your hand.

I go out plenty, majority of the time not even shooting one photo. But at least I'm out. Maybe I'll catch a nice sunset, or grab a coffee from a cafe I'd never been to, or randomly pop into a bookstore and flip through a cool book/magazine. Maybe I'll see a cool car drive by, or a really pretty girl. Doesn't matter, at least I'm living. Photography is secondary to this stuff. If you're not even putting yourself out there how do you expect to be motivated/inspired to shoot 'out there'?
>>
>>2933586

>>2933586

Ye, Fuck you. You entitled shitlord.

Some of us suffer from agoraphobia and anxiety. Not necessarily anything to do with my head but more my physical being. My elevated heartrate is purely physiological and requires medication to control.

>If you're not even putting yourself out there, how do you expect to be motivated/inspired to shoot out there
First of all, apologies for correcting your poor English. Clearly it's not your mother tongue.

Second of all,it's okay. I get it. You think that being out there can inspire motivation to shoot. There's more at play though. Consider that despite going outside there's still the desire to be better than I have been before, the desire to ascend beyond what I usually create.

Some people put thought into their work despite their circumstances and toil with their inner selves to create work they find worthy.
Some people are okay with mediocrity, some people are you.

Well obviously what I'm saying isn't directed at you then is it? It's directed at the people claiming to lack motivation. If they were fine with mediocrity then they would be content and not desiring motivation, right?

Also, pointing out someone's minor typed grammatical mistake on a message board just makes you look like a jackass with no real argument. FWIW. If you're going to call it out, save it for the end after youve made your point. Otherwise most people are already rolling their eyes at you.
>>
>>2933690
>buying new body instead of good lenses
Just Fuji things
>>
>>2933586
There are times where I simply do not feel comfortable enough with myself to go out. There are days where I wake up and have the discipline to go out and I end up having a great time. It's got nothing to do with "finding motivation", it comes and goes and is not something you can "look" for. There's no reason in forcing myself to go out and hoping something nice will happen to cheer me up; I need to feel good in the first place and you can't rely on other things to do that for you. Until then, there's nothing that can be done about it.

Have an LX7.
Want a Canon 750D as my first DSLR. I thought about the D5300 or D3300, but the button layout and handling on Canon makes way more sense and feels more comfortable. Secondary consideration is going for the Sony a6000, the lack of lenses and accessories makes me hesitate though.
Endgame would probably be a 6D. Most shots I've seen from that camera are astonishingly crisp and detailed. A lot of that is PP, sure, and many DSLRs can achieve the same quality, but the 6D has solidified as a great camera in my mind.

d7200 with fast 50mm prime, 70-300mm, fast 18mm prime, a decent macro but not sure on focal length for it, and 300-400mm. I consider "fast" anything less than f2 and don't care about brand as long as its at least medium quality. Also in dire need of a good tripod, current one has all plastic connections but at least has aluminum legs. Also polarizers and nd filters, or least some UV filters and lens hoods.

>also want
Lighting equipment. Literally any lighting equipment. Flash, speedlight, continuous studio lights. Reflectors, umbrellas, and diffusers for those things would also be ideal.. basically anything.

I like it a lot, kinda loud in comparison to the nearly silent kit lenses but I love the size of it

It, like all the other fuji lenses, has better profiles on the xpro2 and xt2 which solves most of its minor IQ issues (soft corners are a bit sharper now, etc)

It won't impress you if you're autistic about lens quality, but if you want something thats just about a pancake but wider than the 27mm, it's fantastic

Bought after purchasing A7II and x100t and fuck I hate carrying around my D810. Too heavy as a kit, too intrusive for street, too tryhard for casual outings, and feels like a giant target for anyone to jump me. Is it just me or does DSLRs take away all the fun of photography outside of studio work?
>>
>>2933392

Nikon N70, and a Nikkormat. Yeah yeah, film hipster, etc. The N70 is actually a decent camera; the menu navigation is kind of stupid but putting it to Aperture priority is easy.

28-80mm f/3.5 kit lens came with it; bought a 50mm f/1.8 because why not.

The Nikkormat has an old 200mm f/2.8 lens that is most definitely not for fast shots. But it's beautifully sharp, and the background blur is gorgeous. It lacks auto-indexing so I can't really use it on the N70 but other than that? Great lens.

Want a D7000. They're not too expensive and work with the older lenses, use the old screw-type focusing motor.
