Right, sorry about that. DSLR scans, backlit by my light table and held in place with a negative holder from my enlarger.
It works fairly well with 6x4.5 because the negative covers the whole frame even though my closest focusing lens (which happens to be the Canon 18-55 kit lens) doesn't focus particularly close.

Not bad given the lens used. Grab a cheap used mirrorless body and a mf macro of your choice when you are ready to step up.
