Is this good for an amateur photographer? [EXIF data available.

The subject is interesting but I dislike the picture. A lot of wasted potential

Please explain

I thought this was a strip of bacon soaring through the air, albeit on a mundane background. The leaf has nice texture but, it's still not bacon.

It's a great attempt, but I think ultimately there's nothing all that interesting about it. It's a suspended red leaf with a very uninteresting bokeh backdrop. The subject isolation says "FUCKING LOOK AT THIS LEAF" and but the subject, in the end, just part of a leaf... Even if you wanted to look at it as a color study, the color composition itself is rather flat.
