Should I just kill my self? Pic related
nah, keep going
remember that you're doing this because it's fun
also chill your saturation slider

Don't do it anon.
Do something that makes you happy and then roll all that sadness into a big ball and just shove it waaaaaay down inside yourself and ignore it.
>>2912164
Is it good though? I'm not too happy with it.

Composition looks very good to me. At first I thought I was an Alex thread..
The only thing that's bothering me is that the trees down the valley aren't really 'popping out'. The difference in terms of luminance between the green and the yellow trees/leaves is not given at all; it looks kinda flat.
Have you tried working with Alex' luminosity mask tutorial yet?

He is talking about film scans but you can also apply it to any other digital RAW.

i like your picture but please don't start threads like these

What aren't you happy about?
* I'm anal so I would level it (looking at the far background where there's water).
* Color is good. Nice mix of gold/yellow, blue, and greens/browns. (The blue in the sky actually does remind me of Provia blue.)
* Saturation seems about right. Some would like less; Ken Rockwell would like more. I like it for the scene.
Of course our monitors are all different. The sat on my monitor is dialed down to match my printer. On other monitors it may be over the top.
* Good detail/sharpness and DoF (at least at web size).
* Good blend of foreground/background exposure. (Whether you actually blended frames, or used a GND, or just managed to pull out that much data.)
* Love the "glow" in the clouds and light rays across the back mountain.
It's not "top 10 landscape of all time" but it's pretty good.

You're gonna die anyway so you could just make it quicker, therefore yes, suicide is a good option
Where is it?
>>2912152
Friendly suggestion: learn 2 crop and edit colors
>>2912230
Colors are better, crop is shit
>>2912232
Nah, color is better in OP's.
Crop has potential but is a very different shot. Which makes it stupid for him to say "hurr durr lrn2crop."
>>2912271
It's also a better shot.. the other one has way too much boring field.
>>2912230
You're what's wrong with this board. OP posts a near flawless photo and you're like "lemme fuck that shit up with some ken rockwellism and a shitty crop" KYS
>>2912299
I have no understanding of composition, the post
I love it, stop whining

no no no no no no no
I like it, but I'm not really a landscape guy. I really struggle with shots like this myself, I'm good when there's a really bold single subject but not these kinds of large expanses of detail.
I think the horizon might be a bit crooked but I might just be retarded.

Don't like this process as a photo, but man it looks like a badass video game.
>>2912339
They really stepped it up in the new Unreal Engine
>>2912152
A bit candy-esque (probably the cyan sky that highlights this), but overall I like it.
>all these people falling for OP's compliment-fishing
>>2912483
This.
>>2912177
Luminosity masks didn't do much for me, but I made it pop.
>>2912500
Way better! Maybe apply some slight dodge&burn as well. The current result however looks better than before, that's for sure.
>>2912508
Cool. Have another one. I only have a TN monitor now, so this might look like shit.
>>2912520
I love this!!!!
>>2912571
Could you tell us how you get this look?
>>2912591
Sure.
This and a high pass filter in photoshop.
