Thanks for the feedback.
I'm hesitant to post process film in risk of making the colors/lighting too "inaccurate". The original is pretty much spot on to what it look liked when I was there (even if the colors are a bit drab, it's true to how it actually was). I suppose it's about finding the balance between tweaking it enough to where it looks nicer, but not so much where it looks fake.

you will notice most scans have a blueish wash to them before post
compare this edit to your original and you will see the difference, all i did to this one was spend 30 seconds correcting the levels and nothing else, giving you the real colours and a more realistic image compared to what you actual saw that day
the previous one i also added a bit of saturation to bring the colours out a bit more
if you want simple real edits, just youtube correcting levels and curves in photoshop

Why is it that I can't fucking shoot in bright daylight? Either the highlights are blown or you can't see anything in the shadow.
In this photo I underexposed and then brought up the shadows in Lightroom, so now I'm left with a grainy photo even despite the fact that I shot in ISO100.

Dude, all technology is just tools. By purposefully limiting your use of tools, you're not increasing your skill, you're decreasing it.
If you shoot significantly at angles that are not the camera at eye level, having a flippy screen is a gamechanging level of difference...unless you're going to say that it's a skill to lay on the ground to look through a viewfinder.

I've used everything from phones with manual controls, small medium and large format film cameras, point and shoots, DSLRs, etc. But my favorite camera yet is a mirrorless camera with a bunch of bells and whistles. And the reason is because I take the best pictures with it. The 5D sensor isn't very good. And cheap FF glass which can be adapted to a 5D is worse. The d700 is the oldest FF camera I would consider a good usable camera. Keep in mind that when the 5D came out, pros still preferred film because digital "wasn't there" yet.
