Some shots I took in Japan. Give me your thoughts.
Thats all. Thanks in advance for some honest feedback
Apart from the b/w, why are they all so yellow?
>Inb4 Asia = yellow jokes
Shot with a shitty camera with on board color correction options. I liked the look more than the raw, and didnt wanna mess around with any post production. These were all taken mostly as memories so I wasnt going for anything super proper. I was more concerned about my composition.
first pic actually wasnt b/w, I just was tricky and managed to compose it with the sky in the background completely washed out so it looks like a blank background, with the natural color of the statue.
pretty good op

I need someone to explain me again why is important to resize. I want other people photos on the highest quality posible.
>>2904429
Because 4chan servers are slow and if it takes more than a second to load your image I'm not going to bother.
>>2904430
if its the file size why the 1000px constraint?
Also it does not take all that long to load.

Aside from 4chan's servers blowing ass (not as bad as they used to be, but they still suck)
Why resizing:
>mitigates pixel peeping
For the most part technical wankery like obsessing over optimal sharpness is an unimportant aspect to c&c. Resizing helps move conversation away from just an analysis of the technical capabilities of a given camera.
>Gives you control over how the image is actually displayed
For the most part, no one is seeing your image at the "highest quality" if you're posting larger images. Browser resizing algorithms blow ass. If you really want people to see your picture at its best on the web, you need to ensure that browsers aren't resizing. 1000 pixels high generally will fit on any screen. As a side to this, most photographs are meant to be seen in total, which larger sizes combined with the resolution limits on screens means people are having to scroll around to see the full sized image.
>Your snapshit is a snapshit at 20mp or 2mp
In terms of c&c, there's almost never a point to larger images. Elements of composition, lighting, and the various other constituent elements are just as clear at 2mp as they are at 20. It's a waste of everyone involved's time and data to post larger. If people are truly interested in seeing a larger version, they'll ask. (note that an excellent picture is still an excellent picture at whatever size).
>data limits exist
A lot of people browse here on their phones and in the US, unlimited data hasn't been a thing for a long time.
Obvious exceptions are common sense exceptions:
>if someone asks for a larger version
>if you're trying to Dx some kind of technical problem that's more present at full size, but still a 100% crop is a better option
>if you're posting a picture that's intended to be explored up close (it's a good idea to point this out when posting)
And you might as well resize because it's easy as fuck and you don't have to deal with people screaming "resize" at you.

1000px on the longest size generally gives you a jpg that's around 1mb for the knuckleheads who think that there's some reason to save a jpg at full quality.

Cheers for writing this up, saved for future use.

>bad quality is good for the community.
>The community is not ready for 36mpx images.
>It's too good for them.
>Is important to hide relevant aspects of photography like image quality.
>Why Lens Sharpness Doesn't Matter Anyway© 2011 KenRockwell.com. All rights reserved.
>Mitigates pixel peeping for the most part technical wankery
>Calling other people photos Snapshits
>People browse here on their phones (Youtube must resize his videos to 60x40px so you can use it on your data plan)
I have 2 computers One with 2560x1440 screen the other with a 1280x800 screen in both images look great at more than 1000px.
Give me valid reasons please.
