Took a trip to Norway recently, lovely place. Pick a favourite from these, if any.

This one. STRONG line.
>>2903408
Thanks, I think I agree it's my favourite, will definitely be keeping it, I also like the leading line in 8.
>>2903404
I just noticed I fucked up the stitching on this, deleting it for good, don;t worry!
>>2903402
saved
>>2903444
cool your jets, they ok

>ISO 200
>Brightness 9.8 EV
lolwut
Good job OP, this >>2903407 is amazing.
>>2903444
God damn the dick riding is strong
No8 looks like a painting
Some good stuff. 8 does not fit
>>2903444
>talented
literally the iphone 5 with the VSCO app and one of the filters at around 70-80% will give the exact same result
i posted a thread about examples from an X100T
I see these were taken with an X100S.
These are all good examples of how a shit photographer can really fuck up the usage of a decent camera.
>>2904007
explain?
>>2904007
Thoughts on why they're shit?
OP here, CC welcomed.
>>2904003
I actually have an iPhone 6 and Samsung S7 as well as an x100T (these were taken on the S so i believe it's the same sensor), they absolutely do not have the detail or dynamic range to achieve this.
>>2904016
>>2904017
Why are they shit?
Well, first of all, you allowed the camera to make the decisions here (ap priority) and as a result, all of your shadows are severely underexposed. I guess it's possible that you did this intentionally through processing, but if you did, they look like shit anyway. It looks like a bad version of VSCO with tones that don't work and everything looks boringly undersaturated.
Aside from that, you either don't understand composition rules or you are intentionally breaking rule of thirds to be edgy - either way, each photo is framed and cropped terribly.
>>2903402
This one I'd give a pass on the latter, though. Well framed - it's just exposed and processed like shit.
>>2904036
Thanks for the CC, the shadows are intentionally dark, yes.
>>2904019
lol the iphone 6 has more than enough detail are dynamic range to achieve this, clearly you are doing something horribly wrong.
>>2904019
and why would you need dynamic range to achieve these results?
>>2904036
i'm not impressed by OP's photos at all but you are a retard
>>2904053
Luckily, I have an example of a version of one of these pics taken from the same spot on an iPhone6
http://imgur.com/aqlHkcm
Like most of these threads, this has been absolutely derailed...
>>2904066
calibrate your monitor you fucking pleb. why would you repair shadows any more than that? that is how you destroy the atmosphere of an image. you're obviously one of those mongs who drags the highlight bar to -50 then the shadow bar to +50 then sends the clarity slider up and that is why your images always suck
>>2904080
lmao, at least I'm not "one of those mongs" that speaks in lightroom terms and probably has no idea what an adjustment layer is
You can absolutely create "moodiness" with proper contrast via proper use of curves.
OP how does it make you feel that p is more interested in your camera's dynamic range than the photos you took?
I like your pictures, I wish I could go to Norway soon.
I don't think there's any reason to have 2 and 3, and I think 2 is stronger
6 is cool, I'd like to see it really big.
>>2904089
It makes me love /p/ more and more every day. Every time i post a set, it turns into a bitch session about Fuji. Honestly I think it's a great camera, i used to be a Nikon DSLR shooter, but for the size and weight, I likely would not have taken it along on a couple of the trips that led to the above shots.
Thanks for the call on 2 vs 3, i am only going to keep one.
>>2904089
Nobody cares about the DR performance.
We're simply saying it looks like shit because there is no DR in the photos.
>>2904096
There's hardly any detail here as it is? These are all poorly exposed with retarded shutter speed/ISO combinations and half of them probably would have benefited greatly from a tripod... something as simple as a go pro gorilla pod would even work...
>>2904091
I bet it is. Probably any camera that costs that much is going to be really great. I make ends meet just fine with much cheaper and older stuff, so it's humorous to me how intense the gear fights over nearly identical items can get.
>>2904093
It looks fine on my phone, except for 4 which is a bit too dark for me to make out the details.
>>2904099
Not arguing that point. I'm just pointing out that "Nobody cares about the DR performance" is wrong.
>>2904086
>>2904103
The funny thing is, I'm on /p/, and I know there is a 99.9% chance that you are a NEET with a camera from a garage sale who is super proud of their snapshits, cause "muh expressive feelings."
>>2904101
I think the argument that "you blew it by exposing these all haphazardly, thus there is virtually no DR in these images," rings completely true.
>>2904104
you've washed the image out completely. the blacks are now crushed which is what you claimed they were in the first place, you have destroyed the lights, whites and highlights and it looks like an underexposed piece of shit with 0 contrast.
>>2904104
Did you just make it darker? I don't get it
>>2904109
OP here, that wasn;t me, not sure why he did that.
>>2904112
We know, I have been observing this thread. It's the melt who has been flaming the thread. He's a very bizarre and remarkable retard. He will now try to claim it wasn't him that did that but that's only because he thinks people are fucking stupid - the result of bad parenting thus inferiority complex plus a comfort zone to sit in and actually say this parasitical garbage. His parents are likely still together and falseheartedly believe they still love him but really they don't.They should have taught him to stand up for himself back in school from a very young age. Fucking parasitical spastics.

Seek a mental health professional's assistance.
>>2904128
he probably not wrong though
>>2903402
This one is a strong favourite
>>2904112
did you shoot everything in AUTO mode?
>>2904251
>too retarded to look at EXIF
>attempts to project superiority
You new /p/ kiddies really need to learn your shit.
>>2904254
It's just a question, why are you so angry, OP?
>Exposure Program Normal Program
so that's a yes, you shoot everything on AUTO mode?
>>2904336
Not the op, just a friendly passerby telling you that you're an idiot.
FYI, it'd say "AUTO" were it shot in greenbox mode.
Op here. The x100s has a fixed lens.
I mostly shoot AP mode
Sixty comments and not one useful CC
As others have said, these are too dark imo and would benefit from softer edits. I like the first one, great lines.
>>2904534
>Sixty comments and not one useful CC
>As others have said
So you complain about no one giving useful CC, then personally contribute to not giving useful CC by repeating exactly what others have already said?
Nice hypocrisy, you fucking moron.
>>2904003
>talent is about what camera you're using.
haha does this look like the gear thread nigga? fucking off yourself. you're what's wrong with this board and all of photography.
>>2904545
Good point
OP checking in, any final comments before I burn these?
>>2905386
yes
>OP is a faggot
>>2905401
thanks for confirming
