Long story short I was asked to take pictures of a birthday party in a very dark restaurant.
The friend didn't want to go outside and take picutres in a park with her 1 year old baby.
She said that I must >just photoshop it.
So now I want to know is there any hope for some of these shots?
There are a couple I got the baby to the front of the restaurant that came out good but the play pit area is dark.

I think your birthday test went wrong.

Yeah I know like I said I have others which arent as bad - but they play pit area I messed up like this, are there any tricks.
Here I tried noise removal and filling light and bumping up the contrast and exposure.

I couldn't think of anything else.
Have you shot raw or jpeg?
>>2889687
Raw
But looking through the others I see I messed up further when I took them to the bright area I bumped up the shutter speed and then because you cant meter it properly in any case I kept the faster shutter speed for the second time in the play pit.
I think I'll have 20 usable ones (before going to PP) but there are a lot of shots with the kids in the play area which are basically unusable.

shooting RAW is the best thing you could have done because now you can bump exposure and open up shadows in lightroom.
If you want to put a few of the raw files on dropbox, I'd be glad to work on one or two for you. I'm sure some other anons might also be willing to try to help you salvage them.

Did you have a long zoom lens on that couldn't open wider? Anyways you should've raised iso
Yeah if you shot raw, they'll be usable
why didnt you just use a fucking flash
>>2889680
It baffles me how is this even possible on a fucking 70D. Cameras nowadays make technically decent photos instead of you. Even DSLR you can literally just point and shoot. Why didn't you just leave it on full auto if you have no idea what you are doing? The main problem isn't the darkness (ISO 3200 is usable on 70D, there is pop up flash, and your zoom lens has a point where the aperture can be wider then 5.6).
Its very obvious from the EXIF data that you are exceptionally clueless. How did you even decide to use manual mode?
This thread made me a feel bit sad ):

I'm a broke Eastern European, so drastically misusing expensive(for my standards) toys just bothers me more.
Also, he didn't just fuck up. If he used auto, or a less presumptuous camera i would have not reacted the same way.
