Just buy a waterproof P&S for <$100 if you're a digifag or a Nikonos for <$100 if you're a filmfag.

If thats too expensive then you probably shouldn't be risking your current equipment on half-assed homemade water housing anyway.

This, you're going to spend a lot more to replace your current camera when your half-assed DIY attempt fails than you would on a waterproof camera. There's a reason housings are so bulky and expensive.

You're gonna get photos taken through a condom. Terrible, terrible blurry smudgy ones. If I were you I'd use it as is hoping for the best, since water won't erase already taken photos off the card and worst case scenario I need to upgrade or second hand buy an old digital p&s worth what, like 20$/€ at best nowadays.

I did this before. It was very obviously in a Ziploc bag. The photos were extremely soft and low contrast.
