Hi guys! Yesturday I got drunk and my Olympus OM10 Hot Shoe got torn, it seems that I can fix it, but I need HQ pictures and I can't find any on Internet?

Does there is Olympus 10 owner here? Can you disassembled your OM10 top for me and take picture of the inside ? It will help me.

Thanks !

Lol, you want someone to tear open their camera so your drunk dumbass can """"""try""""" to fix it?

Fuck off.

junk it and pick up the all mechanical OM-1 instead
or hell get the sweet OM-4T
titanium body and super sweet spot metering for shadow and highlight

This. Also, the OM-1 has a detachable hot shoe so you wouldn't even have had this problem

Ah ah ah. I'm actually considering it.
I hesitate between Nikon F2 and Olympus OM-1 but since the overrated nikon F2 I think I might buy an Olympus OM1

My new (well, not literally new) OM-1 should be delivered any minute now. Can't wait to try it.

It finally arrived. Just gave it a light cleaning and reattached the winder lever which was broken. Battery lid is sadly heavily corroded, I carefully put some WD40 on the crease between the lid and the body, but so far it won't budge.

Oh I already got it. Besides, the battery is only necessary for the light meter, it will work fine without it, as the camera is fully mechanical. The light meter works fine btw, I tested it with a 1,5v cell (but bc of the higher voltage, it points to overexposure too much by ca 1 stop), I'll get a 1,4v hearing aid battery tomorrow, which should give the correct readings.
