Relatively disappointed with the results. I felt totally out of my depth. Norway is amazing, though, and i'd encourage any of you to visit, despite how totally fucked i now am financially.
we didn't camp as much as we should have, either. mostly out of laziness (the stress of finding JUST the right spot and the daunting rigmarole of setting up was too often ditched in favour of comfort)

In Astronomy you usually can't see anything through the viewfinder.
If an object is 1 degree in size and you are using a 200mm lens then:
1 x 200 / 57.3 = 3.49mm image on your sensor.

Colorburst refers to the 30-45 second period just before sunrise or just after sunset where the colors cast by the sun are most extreme. Think hot pink clouds at an angle to the sun.

Too keen on getting to the next place to allow more than 2 nights in each place, and on those occasions we were happier exploring the immediate surroundings or doing a day hike on the full day between the two nights than lugging our fucking heavy kit around. I'd love to do a multi day trek in Norway at some point though. Maybe Jotunheimen in August eventually. I think Jessie would actually prefer that to a road trip, too.

Well, this thread has really gone to shit. I don't think this is an extremely good "trip reportage" but I found some of his photos enough that I've saved his leddit thread and I even mentioned this "style" on a gear thread.
I went to Norway too with a small girly DSLR and cheap crop lenses, maybe I'll post some and wait for constructive criticism.
