Look at other people shooting events and mimic what works in their work. Keep shooting and copy others, once you have the basics on point you can develop your own style.
Try to also write a bit about each post you make, tell us what you were trying to do and thinking at the time.

General comment here is that you need to work on your eye for proper exposure and color balance. You may not necessarily get it right in camera but at least in post-processing.
