There are several political demonstrations at the same time, with very different opinions.

The main parties I will follow is the Nordic Resistance Movement and the Swedish Anti-Fascist Action movement.
The first is basically a party for Neo-Nazis, and the latter an extreme-left autonomous movement known for being pretty hostile and violent.

In my opinion you don't want to use zoom lenses.
If you have a 35, 28 or 50 you will be fine.
You want to engage with the subject on a much more intimate level to really capture what's going on and you wont do that with a 24-70.
All of these were taken on the fuji x100s with its 35mm lens.

Wear thick clothing and a helmet with "TV" or "NEWS" taped on. If there are riot police, work both sides of the line. Make sure both the police and the demonstrators know you're 'on their side.'
