What's fascinating about this post is how unrepresentative that first image is of the set. It would be a much stronger set without this one.
I also find it interesting that all of the rest of the shots have to do with geometry and forced perspective and this first one just seems like lighting. Truly baffling.

I'm sorry. I know as OP I'm not allowed to disagree with critiques because I risk being labelled ungrateful but I definitely don't think the composition is bad in the one you're commenting on. I think it is definitely strong for composition. Not sure why you dislike it so much.
