I got one of these to travel with because it is black and low key, it is padded neoprene and very soft and comfortable to put on shoulder for long periods of walking, only down side is it might absorb sweat, never really had a problem though.

Nikon's straps must be designed to never be used.

They're bad. Especially on pro bodies like the D810. That thing is too damn thin (width-wise) to use comfortably for any amount of time.

Anyone know where I can get a strap like the one on the left? All metal, thin, clips for easy on/off. fits the small lugs.

I have one (came with a Nikon S2), and would like to get another or something similar, but having trouble finding anything.
>>
>>2819113
I have a peak design slide and it's great. Fucking pricey, though.
>>
>>2819235
looks like it would get caught in your neck hair
>>
>>2819279
Only goes on my shoulder or wrapped around my hand. It doesn't get caught regardless though.

Get out of here you filthy chimp.

I'm looking for a strap for my enormous 70-200/2.8 and 400mm prime. The OEM strap can barely do it's job and is getting pretty fucked up under the front balanced weight.
I've seen a lot of BlackRapid straps on ebay and amazon but I don't really trust that single lug carrying the weight and bounces, plus I've seen those weak ass chinese metallic lugs break under very small load.
Are there any good straps for my setup that has at least two hangpoints not just a single one?
>>
>>2819189
this, I'm actually using a friends d810 strap on my d3300 because even the d3300 strap is anemic

Peak designs quick release?
Its comfy as fuck and so nice to be able to quickly unstrap for certain shooting.
>>
>>2819600
This looks cool. Is this good for a 7D and 70-200/2.8?
>>
>>2819605
It can be used like a normal camera strap or like this with two extra grips to take the load off your neck or even as a sling so yea it should be fine.

If you're going to be working with that set up (more than a few hours at a time more than a few times a week) I'd recommend the Black Rapid RS-7 It costs a lot more but is comfy as fuck for the working photog
>>
>>2819607
Not working, more like taking whole day hikes in the forest/mountains.
>>
>>2819605
I found the leash to be a bit too thin for larger kit. Very good for a mirrorless with a small lens, but with a full DSLR kit, I prefer the Slide (also by peak design) or Slide Lite.

>>
> I'd recommend the Black Rapid RS-7 It costs a lot more but is comfy as fuck for the working photog

Seconded - I have the Black Rapid RS Sport and it's a fucking godsend. The camera is there when you need it but out of your way when you don't, and it's more than comfortable enough to wear all day. It wasn't cheap, but it was definitely money well spent.
>>
>>2819614
I can't vouch for it since I don't have that one, but chances are good that it's solid. I haven't made a peak design purchase that I wasn't happy with, quality wise. The capture system doesn't really work for me because it's a bit awkward, but that's not their fault, and it works exactly as advertised.
>>
>>2819189
It hangs at an odd height to
>>
>>2819612
I also like the "Slide" with my DSLR.

It's more comfortable and much easier to put on than the Black Rapid I had before.
>>
>>2819614

I can vouch here. Best strap I've ever used if only for the fact that it never gets uncomfortable.

The quick release stuff is just icing.

Was about $20 in some video store in Manhattan so probably an older version or something. Love it though.
>>
>>2821625
I'm not really a fan of those single lug hanging designs. For $20 you probably got a cheap chinese shit that doesn't worth $1 including that metallic lug that can break from the weakest dynamic force like koncking it or just simply hanging some weight on it and have it swing around a bit. Those shitty things have microfractures and internal pressures due to too quick and uneven cooling in a chinese backyard foundry and casting company casting them from liquid shit of an alloy.
I just hope you don't trust any value on it.

The Slide SL-2 just arrived.
Holy shit, this strap is made out of the comfiest material, the strap slides so easily over any clothing and the padding is super duper comfy. Feels rugged as fuck and to think they gone so far to design the ropes of the lugs to have a color coded chafing just blew my mind.
Best accessory investment ever!
