Way too far away, too much shit in the foreground and background. It's a shame because the timing of the pose is right on and the scene seems like it could definitely work nicely if you got in closer and maybe used a longer lens too to get a cleaner background. People always love shallow DoF but then food photographers always go overboard and blur the shit out of everything until you can't even see what the food is supposed to be. Blur the background if you want to, but the subject should be in focus. The first photo isn't too bad in that regard but the second photo has 6 oysters in it and only half an oyster is in focus. The framing on the second is pretty off too.
If these are for professional use on their website or something then you should've brought some lighting gear or something with you to get a proper exposure at base ISO and stopped down enough to get everything in focus, these photos are probably too blurry and noisy. Also your color balance is too purple in the first one and too green in the second and it's just too red overall and the colors are kind of off probably because of the high ISO. Color is very important with food photography, smell and color are what make something appetizing and you obviously are already limited if you can't smell it.

Well he's obviously beat up and bruised, but there's nothing in the image that connects to it. He's just looking out a window. He doesn't look like he's in pain, we have no idea how it happened, or if he cares, or how he feels about it. Without the wounds, the photo would be the exact same. Imagine having a studio shot where there's a wheel barrow next to a model as a prop, and he's just standing next to it doing nothing. Like... why is it in there? What are you trying to say? You need to tie the image to the interesting aspect with expression, or interaction, or story, etc.
Did he wipe out on a skateboard? Put him in a skate park with his skateboard scarred up next to him. Did he wreck a motorcycle? Where is it? Is he in a hospital? He doesn't look THAT banged up, so we aren't worried about him, or impressed at the beating he took. So on.

Thanks for the feedback. And yeah this was my first chance to use a tripod, so it was a learning process. I still have the RAW so I'll see if I can get a better balance of colors/exposure. I agree with the car light being blocked by the tree as well, wish I could just chop it down.
I can't argue with the last two being boring, I'm still in the "my camera is new and everything is beautiful" phase.

You have the right idea trying to find these strong compositions of shape and color, but you're execution is a bit off. The compositions could be stronger and more defined, kinda like pic I think.
With the red building, the shadowed parts are too dark and the triangle's almost black. It takes a toll on the composition. In the unshadowed areas, the reds lose their vibrancy and are kinda washed out. If the red was more defined and consistent, it'd serve as a better contrast to the blue.

Like, why do you like this photo, that is what I am interested in. Because to me it is an unremarkable photo of a bird that anyone could have taken, I know that isn't necessarily a reasonable critique but there is just nothing going on in that photo. My eye is drawn to the background, not the intended subject, and it just feels cramped and awkward.

You spelled "gray" wrong, and also forgot to mention the travesty of processing that instantly causes the eye to go "buh?" because none of the shadows in that photo make any sense.
The whole left side of the image look like someone forgot to turn on a layer group in PS after turning it off to check a mask line along that tree center left (and not fixing the obviously still too hard edge on it)
