We spent a while looking for a decent free solution to krpano & while there are some okay solutions for relatively small images we didn't find anything free that would do big images like krpano can.

One simple solution for small stuff that recently surfaced is Google VR View;

You can also use aframe;

You can just torrent PTGui for free man. I use Lightroom for all my panorama's and have never had a real problem, you just have to make sure to provide plenty of overlap on each image.

It was, but I had to move one of the images closer because the spacing wasn't even. Here's another one that isn't as nice. I planned to do more but forgot about it for a few years.
