The left eye image information is processed by the right hand side of the brain.

Nope.

Both eye images are processed by the visual cortex combining and interpreting them into a 3D representation of the world.

>>2797257
Not being an idiot is different from autism.
Wait holy shit I'm weird/the lesser percentage for using my left eye? I never realized it was unusual. I do the same with my telescope too.
I think it's vastly more easy to use my left eye in the OVF.
When using my left eye as I normally do, I can have my right eye open and it's blocked by the camera body, which is a lot less distracting than the other way around. (squinting is not proper, as with a telescope you must train yourself to have both eyes open, and 'filter out' the other eye image, some people wear an eyepatch on their non-dominant eye). I also cup the top left of the camera if there's sun glare coming from the side, which isn't really possible if I were to use my right eye.

More like I enjoy playing with manual lenses
Iso is usually auto, but it was a bright as fuck day in florida today
Iso 100, f16, and 2000/sec
Was still overexposing at points
I crank the iso up when I go on a ride, dont like setting auto too high because it likes to almost always prefer the higher iso even if it doesnt really need too
And then ill randomly get a iso 128,000 outside because I dropped the fstop to sharpen the image
Feels a lot harder to fight over exposure in auto, maybe im not using it right. is that what the exposure comp is for.....?
"Oh neat"
Click
>>2797499
You can use auto ISO and aperture priority with manual lenses. You need to get a much better feel for your camera, dude. If it's misbehaving, it's because you're not aware of how to use it, every time.

In your menu you should have a place to set a range for your autowhatever settings. Almost definitely at least in your auto ISO settings and auto shutter settings.
During the day, my auto ISO setting range is 64-800.

It completely passed my train of thought, you just change it externally
And yes, im a software engineer, just really love photography
Still Lots to learn
Wont stop me from shooting
After looking around, I think im supposed to use the exposure comp to prevent auto iso going full retard
Still dumbfounded over how bright it was today
Ive never shot at f16 on 100 iso lmao

It just takes some practice. Really strange at first and I do not recommend trying to do it while moving at first either. After a bit though, you learn how to sort of separate your fields of view (which is entirely wrong, especially considering how our eyes work), but be able to actually use both eyes at the same time...it's weird to explain. I had to learn how to do it while in the military, but it's super, massively useful in photography when shooting really long lenses for trying to find what you want to frame.

Easy when you have a god tier camera like a Konica IIIa with a 1:1 viewfinder.
>>2802746
>I don't see how anyone can keep both eyes open while shooting desu.
It really depends on what focal length is on the camera. When the focal length matches up well with the magnification of the viewfinder to not give the camera a more "zoomed in" look than what your eye naturally sees, it can basically look like there's no camera between your eye and the world at all. That's where the "40mm is the real focal length of the human eye" thing comes from. (It's not true, since it's tied to that magnification, and doesn't hold up to looking at the photos later)
