Hey /p/
I'm considering getting into making and selling stock footage, video mostly.
I have no realistic perspective of my likelihood to succeed.
All of the stock footage sites I've checked out have no way of showing how many times a file has been purchased.
Even if I knew that, I still wouldn't have a clue if my footage would hit.
I'm considering investing in a better body for filming. (Currently sporting a Canon without video)
I was thinking of capturing mostly still shots of urban environments. (e.g. traffic, trains, subways, boats)
>So...
Has anyone ever tried stock footage? How did it go?
I'm not really looking for "Do's and Don'ts" but rather success and failure stories.
No idea but you could have a look at VJ loops stuff.

You mean because it does show the number of downloads? That's cool, thank you.
Anyone with any experience though?

No, I mean because that's an area where you could sell stock video you may not have thought about yet.

It doesn't seem quite suitable for what I'd like to do, and I think I already made my mind up about which site I'd use.
But thanks anyway.
