Gys, really, not even 1 comment on this? Taken by Lumia 930 F-1.0
a pretty sky doesnt make a dull photo of an ugly parking lot & awful council houses/soviet bloc apts interesting
I literally had no time of getting anywhere better. The moment lasted couple of mins, if even that.
Focus on the sky, it was quite awesome.

While most of us know how fleeting those moments are, the other dude is right.
By all means, take snapshots of neat stuff you see, share them on fb or wherever, but realize that they're just snapshots. Don't pretend they're anything more.
And why not share here? Did I claim this to be anything else than a picture taken with a CELL PHONE!
Ok rate this then. Taken with Lumia 1020

these sorts of individual pictures should go in the recent photos thread, you should only make your own thread if you're dumping a whole album of your work and expect critique.
Well I am sorry, made this with haste. Damage already done, so why just whine?
>>2699449
I rate it "read the sticky/10"
It's a shit pic. If you don't want people to rate, don't post it. Nobody gives a shit what camera or phone you used either.

God forbid he push gear thread #391357432 off the bottom. It's better that he throw his photos into the bottomless toilet that is the RPT.
>>2699461
i'm just informing you of the way the board works. you're the one whining about very very light criticism.
>>2699466
Since when is telling facts whining?
>>2699469
when you react the way you did.
sky is beautiful
compose your shots better
>>2699384
it's shit.
get a real camera
give up
/p/ noob here, just got my camera this week. Read a few things in the internet about photography and strolled around the hood for some quick photos.

Would having a lens with big aperture really help on low light photography? Or would I do fine with f3.5?

>Would having a lens with big aperture really help on low light photography?
Well yes, naturally. For still scenes, a tripod might be more helpful though, as it can be very hard to focus in low light with a short DOF.
