I do have oxy-acetylene as well as arc welder, however I've never been welding small and precise stuff such as cage. The other thing is that I'm not sure if I have aluminum electrodes and I certainly don't have aluminum rods. This is the device I'm looking at for my next purchase (that will be chastity cage number four…). It has the built-in type of lock I like from the HolyTrainer v2, and covers the areas that tend to get skin caught between layers of clothing (my experience with the open cage designs.

Well I could make it out of iron rods, however on top of being heavier it will also start getting rusty quite soon and I'm not sure how might zinc react with skin. I just feel like it's not worth the trouble, especially if I'd have to figure it all on my own as this kind of stuff is banned from /diy/.

Anyone knows about a decent plastic cage?

Yeah, it's so frustratingly hard to find a device you can wear indefinitely. It seems to take a lot of experimentation.

I like that halfshell design because it covers the glans completely like the HolyTrainer does, which for me solves the problem of skin getting pinched whenever your body is at an odd angle (e.g., on a bicycle). It also has the integrated lock, which is much nicer than a dangling padlock. The open underside means cleaning and drying out is very doable.

The only downside is that I can't imagine the device being secure without the PA-hook underneath, so my plan is to order this without the hook at first and go for a PA-piercing if the device proves to be wearable without discomfort.
