Does music really help plants grow? I have been playing some bluegrass and John Lee Hooker to my vegetablesfor 4- 5 hours a day for the past week but I don't know if it's having any effect.
Depends what they're into.

Music itself does not help plants grow. Energy helps plants grow. Music is energy.
Plants are probably far smarter than we think. Cellular memory is a growing field. But they cannot appreciate cake over staind.

Haugh haugh haugh haugh.
No, music will not help your plants grow. This nonsense came from the idea that talking and singing to your plants will help them grow, which is partially true since as you talk and/or sing you exhale carbon dioxide which plants use obviously.

Also that if you sing to your plants you're more likely to see that they need watering.

Are you into ketamine?
Can plants suffer from second hand smoke? I have been hotboxing my veggies in the greenhouse and they have stopped growing.

Actually, the thing about talking to plants was because people care more about, and hence do more to take care of, things they talk to.
