Is this the worst state for going /out/?
No, South jersey is p good. Agree that anything north of the AC expressway is trash tho. I would think a small new england state like Rhode island would be worse
Good fishing freshwater, amazing for salt.
Beaches are great, plenty of state parks and a few forest. Especially where the AT passes through.
And it's pretty close to the center of the world; NYC.
It probably is on the bottom on out-states but surely it's good enough when you put other things in factor.

Ever been to north Jersey? It's probably the best in terms of hiking + camping
If have to say Delaware, unless you're into fishing and boating. In terms of actual wilderness stuff though Delaware has it pretty rough.
You're thinking of Kansas and Nebraska
It's flat and there's fuck all but farmland.

Who the fug wants to go there?

A lot of business is there. A lot of bands tour there. Etc
Not saying a tourism thing, it's pretty much a place for a lot of global interaction.
I hate cities myself, but obviously being near one of the most developed parts of the world has its positives

>Beaches are great
But water is brown and murky and there are syringes in the sand.
>a few forest
One forest - The Pine Barrens. If you think you know of another forest it's probably just the other side of the Pine Barrens. Pop quiz - if you grew up in south jersey your teachers taught you that the Pine Barrens are an important part of our heritage and that we d be proud of it but nobody ever told us why. Know why?
>And it's pretty close to the center of the world; NYC
NJ is NY's butthole. New Yorkers treat it like that, NJers treat each other like that, and Pennsylvania's just like "Well, Fuck that."

But all of Delaware is within 30 minutes of water recreation, from trout streams, to crabbing, clamming and fishing, Delaware bay , Chesapeake Bay, beaches and ocean

Syringes in the sand oh my god that's horrible

The pine barrens are pretty nice for hiking and such. But despite living in Nj most my life, I have not done that much /out activity here. I live in Maine in the summer, 2-3 months in the 100 mile wilderness, that's where I get my /out fill.

It's not water like aruba but it's definitely a great beach even in the summer. There's sometimes litter but pretty few and tolerable for a place as popular as those shores.
I dont get what you mean by one forest. Other than it being an official state forest, because there are other state forest north like Worthington and jenny jump. There are plenty of out-scapes even around central jersey like watchung reservation and the great swamp.
Pine Barrens alone is great.
And the whole state vs state thing doesnt really exist since there are a ton of previously NY-residents living in NJ now.
Sounds like you're a PA fag that cant support yourself financially to live in the better state ;)
...im jk because PA is miles ahead of NJ in terms of out- although no ocean

I always avoid states that look like a chinless guy with a beer gut and no limbs, that balances on his prolapsed rectum. Just in case

The horror.

I always thought it looked like a used condom.

NY state is expensive as shit. The closer you get to it, the more money you have to pay. It stinks and the people drive like koreans. There is no reason to go, you can enjoy mostly everything NYC has to offer in Philly, even Broadway shows.
