I'm going on a week long camping trip in June this year with 2 friends. We would like to do some canoeing. We've narrowed it down to either Killarney Or Algonquin in Ontario which does /out/ recommend of these two
>>
Personally thought Algonquin was really nice
>>
It depends. Are you looking to do any hunting or fishing? If yes, I'd recommend Killarney. If not, Algonquin.

No hunting but will probably do some fishing while canoeing

Killarney has some really cool mountains and is pretty scenic
>>
Neither get you that far away from civilization. You'd be better off looking further afield for a more isolated wilderness experience.

Killarney x 1000. one of my favourite places on earth
>>
Will I be able to see much of Killarney in 7 days?
>>
>>989152
Yes, its actually not very big compared to algonquin, 7 days is plenty of time to see a lot of the park
>>
Never heard of Killarney til now. Has some nice mountainous areas vs all the bogs and flows in Algonquin.
>>
I really like Algonquin myself, but must admit that I've never been to killarney. To be honest, I've never been to Algonquin in warmer months either, though; that's just my favorite place for deep winter camping.
>>
Algonquin is good but avoid the front lakes, aim for Tom Thompson Lake on day 1 at least if you park on Canoe Lake.

Bartlett Lake next to it has lots of panfish I hit a sweet spot and was reeling in a yellow perch almost every cast with a spinning lure
