I'm looking to hike to Havasupai Falls in AZ.
People say you even need a permit / reservation for a day hike. The tribe's official site states that too.
Are they really that serious? Are you going to get kicked out if you show up with no reservation. Or you might just have to pay a higher entrance fee?
>paying $50 to see a waterfall
>posting a false color image
>starting this stupid thread
I hope you die in a flash flood

you need a reservation, unless you somehow get lucky and the day you show up there isn't anyone there. a TON of people go there OP and it gets busier every year.

Yes. I live in AZ and the Havasupai don't have a lot of casinos so this is a big source of income for them. They'll tell you to fuck right off.

Well if they'd like to make so much money out of it why don't they just rip fags off like OP who is willing to pay more money?

it's 50 dollars just to hike there? shit, i was thinking about going next week.
fuck that.

huh. I remember it being as blue as OP's pic when I went as a kid

this hike is a facebook meme. I have never been able to hike it cause a combination of greedy ass prarienigger tribe leaders and major crowds. better off hiking else where

Not OP, but any recommendation for where to go in that are?
Looking at going into Zion this coming week and don't wanna go broke looking at fucking waterfalls

The entire rest of the grand Canyon/Kaibab, zion, moab, 4 corners, durango, mongolon rim, sedona are all within about 4-5 hr drive of Havasufalls area. Shit even yosemite is like within a days drive

It depends on time of year. Turbidity of the water and turnover of the algae in the pools.
I'd guess the saturation is turned up a bit in OP's pic, but not a lot.
