Magic
Wtf is that contraption?
You can catch fish on anything as long as it doesnt spook the fish and that you give it the proper action.
Take a look at ned rigs for example.
Even the tiniest lures catch some big fish too, like a lil spoon or a colorful bead.
You put the boom boom into my heart

Tiny lures with tiny hooks are a pain to hook big bass on tho since they can throw them so easily.
>>972093
You mean plugs with hooks or any small hook in general?
Cause they're caught on small jig hooks and fly hooks frequently.
Just dont fish with small plugs, cause other lures work just as well.
>Not a single lure posted without trebels

I had a problem like 2 weeks ago where I was running a Rapala with trebles that seemed too small for the lure and they were barely hooking the LMB and I had to land them real quick before they shook em.
With other species, it isn't so bad. Bass just have that big mouth with thin skin and it's much easier to land them on a 3/0+ hook, but like snakeheads, they have a real fleshy mouth so I can hit a 24" snakehead on a small hook (like #2) and don't have to worry nearly as much about the fish shaking it loose.

The Rippin Raps are so much better than those ones. Pic related, that yellow one.
Orange pixee spoon. I've been living off of pink salmon for 7 years because an orange spoon makes it so easy

I have a couple of those, too. For whatever reason, it seems like at the couple spots I frequent most the bass are all hanging shallow near massive reed fields. They just swarm on those Rattle Traps (silver or blue).
Also had plenty of luck with the ol' Glass Ghost (blue or white).

The X-Raps? Those are great. Probably my favorite jerkbait.
But seriously, pick up one of those Rippin Raps. The action is sooo much better than those other Rapala rattlers you posted in the pic before. Use the Rippin Rap in the same situation you would use this one >>972098 and I guarantee it will outperfom it.
>>972122
Yep, X-Raps. Love 'em.
I'll give those RR's a try next time I'm out there.
>>972129
You'll see. They have a lot more action than the other Rapalas. It's good to fish em in a ripping type retrieve where you let it drop a second, rip it fast a few feet, let it drop, repeat. The action looks just like a wounded fish. Those Sebile Flatt Shads are like that too and those things were killing it for me with the pre spawn bass.
>>972146
Thanks for the advice. May have to pick up a few of those Shads as well.
>>972148
They are hard to find tho. Only place I have seen them is Gander Mtn but a couple websites have them. It's a new lure to come to the US I think. Those Rippin Raps are easy to find tho.

Rippin Raps are on sale at the Dick's near me
Inherited this hand made mother of pearl lure.
If I'm river fishing trout I use Joe's Flies Short Striker series or Blue Fox Classic Vibrax Spinners (always with a fly; had most luck with watermelon or orange).
Fishing piers or harbors for walleye I use modified spinners/crawler harnesses, KO wobblers, Cleos, shad raps, tail dancers, or a simple shiner on a jig with a treble trailer.
For small mouth I only ever use Bass Stopper worms or Mr Twisters. If I'm going after large mouth I only ever use topwater lures. Doesn't matter what kind. Bass fishing is fun for the first week of the season, but after that it's boring. Too easy and they'll hit almost anything.
I usually only target pan fish during the winter through the ice and beaded hooks, shiners, and waxworms do the trick.
Find what works and use it. Don't be a hoarder. You're wasting your money.
>>972291
Neat. Did you use it?
>>972381
Nah I'm afraid I'd lose it.
I kinda ordered a bunch of lures I know nothing about. so...
>>972446
somethings gotta bite one of these so. pretty good deal.
I'll be honest, I find the fact that a fisherman will never say "Yellow" to be annoying. Yeah I know chartreuse is a shade of yellow specifically targeted to fish eye's but if it's the only shade of yellow used then just call it yellow.
>>973953
There are other yellow lures. Chartruese is more like flourescent yellow or a lime. And then there is mustard which is like a mix of yellow, gold, and chartruese.

is that a rigid lure or does that flow side to side? what is the model name sashimi?
