Which one should i pick?
>>971574
The price tags are not for USdollar right?
>>971574
I prefer the one with a full flat grind, all other things unknown.

Whats tje benefit of a flat grind?
>>971574
buy the $10 skandi! especially if it's your first knife.
>>971581
It's highly debatable, and I hate to argue. I own nearly 100 knives, and over time I've just gravitated to the FFG's for daily use. It's a combination of aesthetics, sharpenability and cutting performance. I don't dislike other grinds, it's just what I prefer.
I was thinking about getting a guthook knife and using the hook to cut cordage was does /out/ think?
>>971652
Guthooks are hard to keep sharp for regular use. Best for slitting the occasional belly without busting the guts. If cutting cordage is the main concern, I'd look at a Mora Eldris or a Gerber EAB. Both are on the inexpensive side. Sheepsfoot, warncliffe and even hook bill blades would be good too.
none, those prices are ridiculous. but if you had to a multi but it better have more multi.
>>971667
I meant use the hook for cordage and the and the knife for normal activities
>>971692
It's in argentine pesos. It's not that pricey
>>971696
Yeah. I got that. Still, not what a guthook is good for.
>>971574
Anything that is full tang. None of that rat tail shit.
>>971652
Guthooks are shit at cutting cordage. You need the slicing action of a longer edge for that.
>>971667
>Guthooks are hard to keep sharp for regular use.
Don't buy knives that have guthooks which can't be sharpened properly with your tools. Use a diamond, tapered, sharpening rod.

OP still here. Continue advising please
depends on how much you want to spend, how nice a knife you want. I got the Swiss for 20 american cause all the gadgets. now I want something like the second from bottom for about 8. And I found this old usmc bayonet knife in the house I forgot about. So that is probably enough knives.
The $805 and 910 look great to my eye. Buy them both. Black plastic is lame, finger grooves are lame. Coated blades are lame too.
I kinda like the 1220, but you better be careful with your pesos senor. probably find it for 11 american somewhere.

>The $805 and 910 look great to my eye
If I had to choose one of them?
>>971574
$565 for victorinox classic. damn when I was a kid they were $15. #gettingtoooldforthisshit
>>974584
those prices are in Argentinian Pesos, you know that, right?
>>971574
Before your spend stupid money on a knife, learn to sharpen one first. An expensive knife is just as useless as a cheap knife if you're a dumbcunt and can't keep it sharp.
OP here. I'm probably going to buy the one in the middle for 910.
Any objections?
>>976448
That one or the one at 810, whichever feels better in your hand.
>>976454
The 910 has a flat blade. What are the advantages of that?
>>976448
Also, the blade is 8cm in length. Is that OK?
>>976458
How many hours do you have to work to pay for this? Catalog says 10cm blade of 420c steel. They are all 420c. Nothing special for the equivalent of $60USD. Don't know about the market there, but you could do much better for $60 in the U.S. But hey, if you like it and have a use, buy it.
OP here, please advise.
Is 8 cm OK for blade length?
>>976667
You haven't explained what do you want the knife for. What are you expecting from it? You need it for skinning animals, average camp things, cutting rope on a kayak, etc. Lots of scenarios. Describe what you plan to do and we will be able to help you
>>976785
Just a general purpose /out/ knife
8 is ok for most cutting. A little short for cooking, but a guy skinned an elephant with a Gerber LST when they first came out, for advertising just showed me that being sharp is the most important thing about a knife. Smaller blade is easier to to carry, deploy, sharpen and control.
which one has the most pure battoney potential?
>>976963
None of the above.
>>976963
A sharpened, junk leafspring would be better to baton.
