Turkey is a pain in the ass but i will go try one weekend. Atleast it isn't sitting in a swamp for ducks.
I can barely shoot my whitetail limit waking up before dawn is bullshit.

>tfw my province is full of wild turkey but doesn't have a turkey hunting season
We have to go to neighboring Maine, which is a bigger pain in the bum than it should be (and costlier).
The Premier mentioned a limited Spring turkey draw this year but so far nothing concrete. It will be a hard draw to win anyway even when it does come about.
All winter I have been watching a pair of jakes strutting around my village less than a mile from my dooryard.

Yeah, you shouldn't use anything red, white, or blue innawoods during turkey season.

I live where wild turkeys have recently be reintroduced. I do alot of waterfowl hunting, but never hunted them.
One of the dudes I duck hunt with says wild turkey has a fat marbling like a nice steak, and once you've had it you'll never be able to eat frozen storebought turkey again.
Is he pulling my leg /out/ or is wild turkey really that much better?

It's like a totally different meat.

Tastes closer to wild duck than domesticated turkey.
