Gator hunting

some people do .22 I guess a .223 would not be overkill.
what method will you use?
I've seen baited hooks, where it's pretty much point blank to the back of the head.
Maybe something with a standoff device. a muzzle device thingy in a rifle.
I've been wanting to go in texas for a while but idk where to start. txpw is kind of hard to navigate.

Bull fucking shit. Gator tags are extremely hard to get. Anybody who can actually get tags for gators already has a gun for hunting.
