I will be going hiking for a week in Iceland this summer, it will be my first full out hike, are there any locals here that can recommend any trails or tips? I have a friend who lives there, but want to see what else I can find out

I went on holiday and did a two day walk that was amazing, would definitely have loved to do more walking there. Pretty easy to get to on public transport, and has accommodation.

Oh wow, that's neat, I've actually read about that mountain, I will read through your post later today, it's good that I'm only hearing good things about Iceland, really excited to go there, the full length of that trail was 50km as I understand?
