I bought one of these used a few years back on CL. I've had 3 adults with gear n' beer (~650 lbs) for a 4 day trip and the thing was a tank. Didn't sit low in the water at all.

pic related is my set up. Got a 55lb thrust tm, 3 27 series batteries, sonar, cell phone mount..plenty of room for a cooler or a buddy + camping gear.

Bought my first canoe for $375, came with 3 paddles and a life jacket. It's a 17ft Michicraft aluminum canoe. My friend and I take it to Saguaro lake for bowfishing.

Bought another one for $350. A 17ft Alumacraft aluminum canoe. Came with a 40lb thrust motor and two paddles. Gambled with this one as it had a hole that was patched up with some sort of epoxy. Tested it out yesterday and it floated fine. No leaks or anything.
