What is /out/ planning on buying with their tax refund this year? I can't decide if I want to upgrade my gear this year with a new pack or if I should replace my shit kicker coat
no gear unfortunately, just lots of dental work. Need it done so I can live on a trail for 6 months without a toothache
Paying down debt so I can take more time off.

Buying a house is just as enlightening.
I owe 6 grand on my taxes this year so..... I am working overtime to pay for my tax bill
>tax refund

You are super plus double goyim

If you're a poor fag and don't have insurance there should be a dental school near you that does reduced fee or free work.. I know some people who have done this.
lmao this gets me every time
>duuuuude check my sweet tat I got with my tax refund
>duuuuuude check my sweet gear I got with my tax refund
>duuuuuuuuuuuuudeeeeeeee
If you have no debt, fucking invest it unless you have a terminal disease.

Invest in a gas mask for WWIII
Seriously though where should a US person invest in this economy? Odds are it's going down.

The easiest way is using an investment broker through your bank. I love watching my money grow every time I get a statement.

ETF's. Read bogleheads guide to investing.
I plan on getting a granite gear pack

ETFs are good
why try to beat the market when you can just track the market and spend more time /out/ and less worrying about money

>>954926
but spending money feels so good
>>954669
Sounds like the life
Saving it, or maybe dropping ten dollars on a sacrifical lens for my NODs.
Duplicate mid-tier gear so I can host /out/ adventures with my poorfag friends.
$800 to spend

Buy what you don't have, upgrade your essentials. Or plan for the future like an adult.
>>955439
i already have future plans

I don't splurge with my tax refund because I don't have poverty-level income.
But if you are curious, I have bought a bunch of stuff recently:
Bergens 95L backpack
ArcTeryx Atom LT x2 (liked it so much I bought a second one)
Smartwool merino long underwear
Icebreaker merino vest
MontBell wool cap
40Below boot covers
2x merino face/neck buffs
Stretch fleece gloves
Misc carabiners
Rescue pulley
Gear repair tape
"Fair share" mug
VBL socks
Silnylon stuff sacks

Eno double nest hammock, for overnight kayak trips
>>955489
Get something better than an eno
>>955489
second that. There's no fucking way they should be priced at what they are. i bought a wallyworld hammock for $15 that is identical in material, stitching, and size.
I have 3 ENO hammocks; slippery shit, not long enough for GOOD asym laying, their end loops are atrocious, their straps weight more than the damn hammock!
I am waiting on the dutchwear chameleons to be available. Right now its early backers only and I missed the boat.

I'm looking to buy a canoe tomorrow. $650 for a slightly used 12' square back.
I want to take my son and my dad out for some fishing.
>>954809
How the fuck did you manage that?
>>954738
I paid cash for university because I worked, do you expect everyone to hold your hand through life?
>>956484
I bought a used 14' Rogue River with a 4' beam for $185 off CL a few years back.
>>956487
There's a few ways this makes sense. You being a traditional student right from hs while outright affording the bill to a proper university can not one of them.

Want to make that fix that grammar so the rest of the class understands?

If you brush your teeth well and use decent mouth wash then you don't have anything to worry about. Make sure you don't leave lots of food residue for bacteria to eat up.

His teeth already hurt, dumbass
A third gen 4runner
>>957099
Why a 3rd when 1st is a million times better for out related endeavours?

Socks, trailrunners, shell and possibly upgrade cookset. Looking for a nice wheel gun too.
Got a new boom stick, a new lightweight big agnes tent, and saved the other half of my return.
Just put in for a week of vacation tailed onto some Holiday hours for a total of 10 days off, and now get to plan my trip.
Open to ideas as I have enough air miles to fly anywhere I want for free, and I already have a solid complete backpacking kit.
Currently in Seattle, but thinking about 4 days 5 nights in lost coast, Yosemite, or keeping it local to North cascades.
