I can't confirm, but this is a very large bird, spotted a thousand feet up down in Mexico
See them all the time in kansas/missouri by the missouri river
I see them all the time in Boise, often carrying a fish or sometimes a snake
Two of these fuckers nest on my campus and all the old people coming to watch them every day take all the damned parking spots up.

The spot I live in, I usually see 10 eagles when droning home. It's always low tide, they just fly in swarms to feed (WA state here)

Apparently lots of people do, since tourism revenue is growing every year here.
Anyway, after being around so many bald eagles during the salmon runs, I've started to agree with Ben Franklin that they actually aren't all that majestic of creatures.
Also they sound like a rusty screen door when they call.

They're kind of a trash bird, not rare or exceptional

Less annoying than seagulls, more annoying than ravens.
