When I switch flies I'll put the one I just used in my hat to let it dry so that it doesn't get moisture in my fly box and rust the rest of my hooks. I don't walk around in public like that though.

Getting hooks to stick like that in normal hat use is actually pretty hard. I tried when i was a teen. When i see a hook on a hat like that i know that fag is a tryhard poser.

Now hanging wet $hit on a hat or vest is different, but you normally find that in the first gas station you stop at for beer.

Those hooks are big. I would assume if you were somehow in a survival situation and wanted to catch some food, it would be panfish and stuff. It is going to be tricky to make line out of your paracord bracelet and catch 3lb bass 50yds from shore with those 5/0 hooks.

in a survival situ a sportsman like attitude doesnt bode well. of course its a piece of shit douche fashion accessory but I would be thankful if I had one on my hat when stranded near water.
