Felnix E12 and a gen 1 Serfas thunderbolt. The E12 is awesome and the thunderbolt is bright as shit even on low. It will give a nice glow to camp and it won't kill your night vision.

A Headlamp. Flashlights are nice as a supplement but the odds of you doing something that requires two hands is certainty.

I like the gadgets but I mostly use a €5,- wind-up miniflashlight. Ways nothing and I only use it to climb in my hammock or in my bivi anyways.

Actually I do. I've never had too much problems seeing though. Light pollution and so on. I live in Germany in an area where it's not really possible to get further away from the next village than maybe 10 miles, not comparable to the vast wilderness of the US or Canada at all. I also have to note that we don't have any predatory animals that are large enough to harm a human.
