Heard something on NPR kind of about this.

The NPS was trying to advertise national parks, and was focus testing advertisements with minorities.

Because hispanic folks tend to be very family-oriented, when they showed them advertisements of mexican guys camping in the parks, the general response they got back was literally "Why is this guy out there by himself, did he do something bad and is hiding from the law?"

To imagine something that would be great does not necessitate advocating the most gruesome way to achieve it. Could be a timeline where they never existed, were wiped out early from natural causes etc. I'm right now imagining a world where the dwindling white population is miscegenated into the rising tide of color and europeans cease to exist. This is much more horrifying to me than global extermination or sterilization but I suspect talking about a world like that would never even make you think of telling me to fuck off.
For reasons of resources, environment, migratory pressures etc I think extermination will be imperative in the future though. Why not start with those whose only contribution to millenia of history has occasionally been as manual labor?

I hiked ~500 miles on the AT. Like 90% of the people I saw were male, mostly white with a few latinos and asians but really no black people. Articles like this really seemed aimed at the "outdoor industry is racist and sexist for not having enough women and minorities!" view but the reality is women just don't like /out/, especially not the more adventurous, rugged stuff like multi-day backpacking trips. And since a disproportionate amount of black people grow up in inner cities, it's not surprising that they don't go /out/ as much. But there's nothing preventing either women or minorities from going outdoors

Now apparently they want to take over the outdoors too.
