I live on the east coast of the US so unfortunately a lot of my trips arent 100% dirt. Its mostly traveling through national forests with some highway in between.

Few days in the forest --> few hours on the road -->few days in the forest --> few hours on the road --> drive around on the beach for a few days

I live in Australia so pretty much any camping is overlanding. By American standards. It's pretty good although it's expensive setting everything up. Pic related my ute

This was a daily driver for ten years. Never took it to a mechanic, did all the work myself. Taught me the meaning of "cuckhold". Owning that greaseslapper was like dating a European Super Model. High fucking maintenance, but really cool to drive around in.
There aren't any off road pics handy, but it did okay.
Happiest day of my life was the day I signed away the title.

Here's the other two. The Ford was the only vehicle Ive ever purchased new. After 16 years and 300,000 miles a leaky head gasket allowed coolant to fill the cylinder. As I turned the key to start it, we were reminded that etylene glycol doesn't compress like 15air/1gasoline. So off to the junkyard.

The suburban is awesome. I load the dogs and a guns and a cooler and 4 well fed men, the boatful of dekes and ride in style.

But I do need another pickup truck.
