>Russians and chinks have been using it for centuries as folk medicine against cancer, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes
>(((medical specialists))) say it has not been proven to be efficient for the prevention or treatment of these diseases

"Don't drink chaga tea goyim, use the pills made by the (((pharmaceutical industry))), it's much better for you"

Is chaga the most redpilled home remedy?
My great grand-mother who lived in Siberia would regularly consume natural chaga and she lived old almost reaching her 90's
>>
Look man I'm all for fighting the long nosed men that lurk in the shadows, but when it comes to medicine it simply is much more efficient to use pills. Obviously something manufactured to do a certain thing is going to be superior to something that just happens to have some of what you need. That said, I'm sure that plant does do what it's supposed to. And if you'd rather have weaker medicine than pay many shekels, it's not a bad idea.
>>
>>939119
But don't you think the goal of the pharma industry is not to heal you but to make sure you stay ill so you keep using their product for the rest of your life?
>>
>>939093
The question is, what is the active ingredient? Can you get it purified in a pill? Is there any evidence other than "gran says it works"? (To be fair, my gran swore by spiced whiskey for anything that ailed you. Then again, I think she had a drinking problem). A lot of traditional medicine doesn't do much more than a placebo (which can be rather effective. You'd be amazed at how much the placebo effect can impact the outcome of a disease). If scientists find that the stuff doesn't do better than sugar pills, they will usually write it off and move on.
Also, unless you are harvesting the stuff yourself, you are paying for it. More likely than not, they guys who are telling you the pharm industry are scamming you are the guys selling you dried tree bits at a ridiculous mark up. Its up to you who you want to believe, but pharm puts a bit more effort into trying to make something that works.

As for big pharma; yeah, you are going to run into quality issues here and there, but they really don't have to game the system to that extent. Curing you makes you live longer, which in turn, increases your chances of developing more miladies. Besides, there are always new cases developing each day. Scamming on things other than pain meds isn't shrewd.

That is anti-semitic, fuck off to pol trumpturd.

>she lived old almost reaching her 90's
that isn't proof that chaga works, it could have had no effect

You know what they call home remedies that work? Medicine.

Look to get your various vitamins through natural means, they're better absorbed by the body that way but anything more than that and you're better off with OTC or prescription solutions.

I get all my medical advice from Siberian anecdotes.

Why you guys feel so uncomfortable when all I'm doing is dropping some redpills?
Saying go back to "X" board is not an argument, you have to make a point in the discussion
>>
>>939150
assumption of one active compound is assumption.

Same deal with Cannabis, oh we'll extract the active cannabaloid and put it in a pill: What happens, not as effective as the complex naturally formed compounds found in the plant.

>>939093
>chaga

I use it for firelighting.

What's the taste like for tea? I do like infusions.
>>
>>939420
Taste weird, cost nothing, at least can not hurt(unless you have specific allergic reaction).
So why not.

I like it in tea with dried cloudberry.
>>
>>939347
This coming from someone with a less than adequate IQ and a limited vocabulary! Just remember Socrates said "When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser".
>>
This thread looks like a retarded post in Facebook.

Sadly, a pill or a plant will not cure cancer, maybe prevent, but not cure.
>>
>>939150
They did this with Opium. In 1898 They took a free and freely available latex, "refined" it into Heroin (Bayer named it that because it rescues you from opium addiction, lol). Sales weren't high enough, so Bayer bribes the government, and in 1909 The first federal drug prohibition outlaws Opium. What was once a perfectly free and effective medicine became more addictive, less effective, and illegal to buy from anyone else.

I ran into this hippie woman in a woods and she gave me some chaga. I've been drinking it but am not sure what I'm looking for as far as to what it does.
>>
>>939093
blood letting and tripaning was also widely accepted and people cited many untances of it being life prolongging and envigorating and curing, and yet medical acedemia absolutely condemns the pratice,

just cause some underdevelopped nations swear by it does not mean it works,
voodoo = not real
fucking virgins to cure aids = not real
eating pills made of whale semen or whatever to increase your manhood = not real
>>
>>939901
You realize that most commercial medicines are just refined components taken from plants that have been used medicinally for tens of thousands of years, right?

Here's a huge fucking list of evidence supporting that: http://www.rain-tree.com/plantdrugs.htm#.WI0orn3Dbcs
>>
>>939093
>My great grand-mother who lived in Siberia would regularly consume natural chaga and she lived old almost reaching her 90's

>My grand father eats 4 hot dogs a week and he is 92.
>Hot dogs prevent cancer.

Correlation =/= causation.
>>
>>939903
yes, refined, and highly synthesised, not just chucking a think ome frozen russian likes in a pot of boiling water
>>
>>939907
By definition, if something is sourced from a plant, it isn't synthesized. Find something to argue that you actually know something about.
>>
>>939129
>>939375
Making one vague point and blaming the jews also isn't an argument. If Chaga is some fucking wonder drug, dont you think someone would have capitalized on it by now?

So yes, go back to /po/. This isn't a board about redpills and big-pharma its about enjoying the outdoors. You can ask a question without trying to be an edge lord, you know.
>>
>>940108
Morels are an amazing mushroom too, but you don't see them on the shelf of every grocer. They're incredibly difficult to source, and the people who can find them rarely want to sell them.
>>
>>939093

shit /pol/ bait. Go back to /x/ or /pol/, depending on the strain of autism that you have.
>>
>>939129
No I don't really believe in conspiracy theories
>>
>>940629
You don't believe that people act out of self-interest?
>>
>>940625
I can buy morels at every single grocery store in my neighborhood. Morels are my favorite type of mushroom, second only to maybe chanterelles.

We aren't talking about food here though, were talking about an alleged wonder drug. I'm not commenting on the actual effectiveness of the Chaga, as I dont know anything about them. However I do know enough about how the world works, and medicine to comment on his assertion that "the jews" are hiding the cure for cancer. There are several multi-billion dollar non-profit organizations studying cancer and any number of other diseases looking for a cure. If it were as obvious as a fucking mushroom someone would have figured it out, in fact I would be surprised if Chaga hasn't been investigated in the past if it does have such a cultish following.

There have been studies done on people who blame other religious/racial/ethnic for problems in their personal lives and society. Normally it is individuals who have had hard child-hoods and/or struggled to find their way in the world as adults. By blaming others they can reassure themselves that their own short-comings are not a result of personal inadequacies or bad luck, but an organized resistance against them. They live in a deluded world, which they validate by surrounding themselves with people with similar views. Look at Nazi Germany, anti-jewish sentiment was stirred up by blaming them for the loss of WW1 and the economic collapse that followed. Germans then had the burden of failure lifted off of their chests and placed onto that of the jews, many of which who fought and died alongside non-jews during the war just like any other German.

Blaming the jews is a simple answer, for the simple minded.

Chaga has a few proven anti inflammatory compounds. If your knees ache it will help you out, like how willow will help you the same way since it has similar anti inflamatory compounds.

More importantly it is loaded with absurd amounts of melanin which act as a anti depressant. That is what the black coloration comes from. So if you ingest it for anything it will make you feel better which is probably where any inflated claims come from.
>>
>>940919
>an organized resistance against them
Yeah, that would be pretty crazy, but what I'm talking about is corporations that subdue information that isn't in the best interest of their shareholders.
>>
>>940933
I agree with you on this. There definitely are some evil people out there, many of whom are in positions of power.

I'd say most. It's unfortunate, but rarely does one gain that kind of power purely through ethical means.

Ultimate wonder drug seems to be bitter melon. Look that shit up. They are even researching its effectiveness to kill the aids.
