I am planning a trip for a group of 6 to spend 2 nights in Yosemite in June to do some light hiking and see the sights. I don't want to do any proper camping because the trip is part of a bigger trip for a wedding and I don't want to get bogged down with gear etc. I am having difficulty finding affordable accommodations this late in the game. I was wondering if any one had any useful suggestions. Perhaps some hidden gems? My options appear to be either booked already or super expensive. Ideally, I would like to keep it around $50-$60 per person per night. But I am open to other suggestions as well.

I've been exactly where that photo was taken and let me tell you that river will freeze your nuts off, even in the summer

kek. good luck. at that price point you'll have to stay in some shithole in merced and take the YARTS into the park,
>mfw my family has a cabin 45 minutes away from yosemite

Yeh. I'm thinking we will have to shell out a bit more.

a bit? we're talking double figures. if you don't want a 3h transit into the valley you will have to spend serious money.
anything in the el portal region is 120 per night and up

yeh it looks like ill have to try one of these places - www.scenicwonders.com
Stop by Costco on the way there. Spend $500 on a tent , pads, sleeping bags, cooler and dura flame logs etc. Just leave it all setup when you leave. Jesus Joseph and Mary it ain't rocket surgery kiddo

Stay at the Yosemite Bug. It's not in the park, but it's pretty close. I really dug it there.

i looked at there. it seemed far out of the valley though.
Look into Snow Play Area, free camping just outside the park
