Anyone else with Raynaud's? It makes cold weather brutal. Even mild temperatures like 45-50F on a cloudy day can cause it for me, or carrying a milk jug to the grocery store checkout.

I am constantly wearing gloves and wiggling my fingers. This is keeping me from doing anything longer than a day-trip most of the year.

Does anyone else with this get to enjoy the outdoors in the winter?

Pic related; not my hand.

An exgf had it. Was a very serious condition for her. She'd begin to lose her judgement skills.

>are you ok?
>yeah, yeah fine...
>obvious thermal stress obvious

People would give her gloves. Useless, they did not get it.

Move somewhere warm, anon.

i don't have it as bad as you brotherman but i got it too--I try to keep my hands and toes as dry as possible. wear good quality wool socks and buy disposable hand/toe warmers if you need to. good boots if you're hiking in the snow or snowshoeing. i also got a pair of merino wool fingerless gloves that i layer with larger mittens and that keeps me t o a s t y

don't give up my man, adventure is out there

I've got the circulation of a norse GOD in my hands. Went hiking in the mountains in 0F weather the other week with just shitty knitted thin gloves and was a little uncomfortable at times but fine. Sorry about your situation anon.

My gurlfriend has it pretty bad- just got it officially diagnosed/tested this week actually. Since her plan to warm up her hands is to slip them under my shirt and put them on my mid-section, I took matters into my own hands. Here's the things I've picked up for her that have worked really really well, and I would be sure to pack for her if she ever came /out/ with me

>hand warmers, a big fuckin' box. They last longer than 8 hours for me/her/us
>USB chargeable electric gloves. They're like $15 on amazon, have a little pad in each that attaches to a wire with a power source. This is nice bc you can swap sources, get a battery pack that suits your wants/needs to a T and whatnot.

I've been thinking of getting her a refillable heater, the kind that uses butane or whatever. I think there's a thread on this board about them currently.

Best of luck, I'm sure you'll be able to find a workaround.

Looks bad. Sorry.
Do topical balms and junk that increase blood flow help at all? Aspirin? Alcoholism? (Flushes the skin) there's gotta be something right? A pill that keeps your capillaries from constricting?
>>

>>936825
Viagra? It's known to increase bloodflow.
>>

Only if you want stiff fingers.

Im a Respiratory Therapist/Hyperbaric tech. I recently treated a patient with raynauds. Fingers looked worse than yours. She developed dry gangrene they got so bad. 10 treatments later she is all better and vascular told her circulation had improved. Most insurances will never pay for the treatments unfortunately but hyperbaric oxygen treatments cause growth of the capillaries improving oxygen transport. Go ahead and google "raynauds and hyperbaric oxygen therapy" there are a couple of studies on it.

Fucking rip m8. Do you get frostbite or just discoloration or what exactly happens?

>>936824
Its not really special to be warm when you're hiking.

If its windy -20C I generate enough heat building a natural shelter or getting firewood that I strip down to just my shirt, no gloves, no hat. It just depends on how hard you're working.

Its only with people on Everest and stuff where it gets to -60C that even with all their layers they can't produce enough body heat to stay warm no matter how hard the work.

Never had frostbite. They just turn pale ass white and lose most of their feeling (think arm falling asleep from laying on it weird).

I'm going to wait for the USB 3.0 version.

USB 2.0 is not Future Proof.
>>
>>936697
Is it possible to have that without the discoloration?
My fingers get hella cold during winter but they're still colored flush
