What is the most aesthetic wilderness, /out/?
Probably western Canada. Lots of Canada (especially northern) you can still walk places no one has ever been before.
>>930861
What places are those?
>>930861
This. Northern Canada is a massive vast wilderness
>>930853
canada probably
mountains, big lakes, blue skies, green trees
Though there's something to be said for Northern England, like the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors
It's not really wilderness but it's very lush and green in summer, warm and comfy, like it's been handcrafted by god to be the perfect place for people to live a calm and comfy life
>>931463
more yorkshire shilling
>>931467
areas like nidderdale are nice too
also it has a funny name when you're 12
>>931469
North York Moors
Roseberry Topping
>>931463
If you like green and lush comfy countryside filled with qt old towns allow me to shill for the Massif Central in France, which is often said to look like Northern England (except it's cow country instead of sheep)
>>931482
>>931483
>>931484
Sorry OP for hijacking the thread
>>931483
this one looks particularly comfy
>>931487
It's made up of lots of grassy elevated plateaux, it's the place to go in France for open spaces
>>931498
Can't wait for this summer im going camping some how some way.
mojave
>>931488
Are you french ?
>>931537
Yes
Proof: I have canned snails in my basement
>>930853
coastal BC is full of heavy shrubs and ferns which cling rain when you walk in them. No thanks, go somewhere like Britain where the terrain is open

>op asks about wilderness
>faggot spams with farmland
but western canada's a good candidate. this is one of only a couple oc pics i've saved from here.
>>931619
>Yorkshire
>Anything other than a post-industrial wilderness
>>931488
>no trees
Is it illegal to plant trees there?
>>931704
Most of the area has been traditionnaly used for cow's pastures and cheese making for a long time so trees would be an obstacle to such activites
>the lack of beach itt
Git gud, faggots.
>>931709
>>931709
>>931713
>liking sand
>>931750
What's not to like. It's coarse, and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere!
>>931758
>not liking laying on the sand in a hot day after a swim
sunburn city
>not liking the smell of the ocean
brine and pooh
>not liking swimming
we weren't born with wings and we weren't born with gills anon. fuck that shit.
>not liking hot girls in tiny bikinis
i prefer the company of men

Northern Caucasus is drop dead gorgeous. South isn't any worse but somewhat more populated.
For me its arid to semi arid coastline desu senpai. Specifically western Africa. I just wanna go there and live out my days by the beach but I can't cus niggers. Australia and Baja California as well. I do however like trees and vegetation but nothing compares to that pure earth look.
>>931861
And while I haven't been there myself - yet - I hear Sarek NP in Sweden is quite amazing too.
>>931863
Still some remote beaches in Western Africa desu. True, the region is very populated, but you can still find some quiet corners. This near is Cape Three Points in Ghana. Sure, there's a village nearby, but you got the bay for yourself.
One thing that West African beaches are not however, is semi arid. It's palm tree galore all the way from Southern Senegal to Angola.
>>931876
Imtalking about northwest Africa such as western Sahara. And its very unpopulated but the country Is run by literal sand niggers, and its poor and empty, I doubt I could live a comfy life there unless I was rich.
>>931879
Senegal's quite functional, as is Morocco.
>>931570
Typical frenchman indeed. Candia milk from our beloved farms also.
I'm french as well. Are you linving in the Cantal region ?
>>931881
True that maybe one day I can move there. But the western Sahara and Mauritania area is on another level as far as wilderness. It appeals to my brain to know that such a vast empty coastline exists, its so bootiful. I'll at least try to visit
>>931891
Mauretanian visa is retardedly expensive nowadays, as they switched to a bionic one. Didn't make it there myself, but both friends who have been there said that the desert was somehow filled with mosquitoes. Western Sahara's functionally Moroccan though, so easy to reach.
>>930853
The High Arctic. Anywhere north of the tree line. Svalbard, Greenland, Northern Canada, Siberia.
>pic related: Svalbard

A-are you looking for a /out/ bf?
>>931498
Location?
>>931981
i think that was by clear creek canyon park on the 6 outside of golden co
>>931448
Nowhere. There's nothing here.
>>931888
Nah I'm living in Hérault, so I spend most of my /out/ time in my own departement (pic related) and in the Cévennes and the Corbières/Pyrénées since they are the closest to me.
But Cantal, Haute-Loire or even Puy de Dôme aren't really far so I go there from time to time, it's not really wilderness (like pretty much anywhere in Western Europe anyway) but it's lightly populated and a breath of fresh air everytime
I'm spending the whole winter in Savoie tho
Where are you from ?
>>930853
More generally, conifer forests or places with dramatic rock formations.
As far as Burgerland goes, I would say the Bob Marshall/Scapegoat/Great Bear complex, assuming we're only including designated wilderness areas.
>>932261
You are blessed to live in such region, there are mountains like these to climb all around. Are you having a job that involves outdoors ?
I'm from Paris, the suburbs more precisely (Nanterre), but i'm spending my out moments in Britanny and Normandy mostly. If your interested, you can join the /out/ discord channel that was setup by anon some days ago. https://discord.gg/hP5hs
>>931577
Because BC is Canada
>>931619
this is neat as fuck
>>931861
gorgeous
>>932682
Yeah it's pretty good, I live in the coastal plain near the sea but the foothills of the Massif Central are less than 1h away and they are pretty rugged as opposed to its center
>Are you having a job that involves outdoors
Not really, I'm working at a kind of big ass hotel/sport center in kitchen mostly but it's near a huge ski ressort and located in a forest so in the afternoons I have plenty of outdoor activities available
I've never been to Britanny but I spent a lot days in Normandy as a child, it's comfy as fuck but pretty flat and devoid of proper forests hélas
Yeah I'd like to join the Discord thank you, I tried and it says "l'invitation est invalide ou a expiré"
Colorado is pretty cool.
>>934282
But so is Western AB or eastern BC.
>>930853
No Yellowstone innisthread?
>legit mountains
>huge ass canyon with waterfall
>big tree woods
>wolves
>grizzly bears
>black bears
>buffalo
>elk
>geysers
>mud pots
>hot pools
>sulphur springs
>trout streams
>lake
>gobs of snow
Go before it explodes friends, there is no place like it on earth.
>>934285
Not to be rude but i think you mean to say Western Alberta or BC.
>>932948
It seems to be a pretty Ok job, indeed. Yes Normandy is flat as shit (but you can find some nice hills in Suisse Normande), but there's something to it, I really love.
I think the link is only valid for one hour... Let's try again : https://discord.gg/MyBXP

every inch of britain had been farmed and ruined
>>934619
Plus the UK isn't safe anymore or have any culture since the population replacement
Any were in northern Sweden, this is a picture from just outside of Ånn in Jämtland, if I remember correctly that mountain is "Stor Snasen" lack of trees right here is because it's above the tree growing limit. My phone camera is shit sadly.
God you shut-in fucks have a limited perspective!
>muh back yerd
>muh fav sand box
It's simple to understand that the most aesthetic /out/ is sunset related.
With the dawn tied for first.
The night sky and daylight hours /out/ anywhere are a close second.
Do you get me?
There is only one answer

I love finnish nature
Not finn but Latvian, every year with friends go fishing to finland, little lake in boreal forest, ohh yeah , then u realise life is awesome
>>934400
I agree but you have to go in winter for it to really feel like a wilderness. It's overrun by cancerous tourists in the summer.
