Thread #77 oops
Anyone know what is going on with this succulent?
Too much sun and not enough water?
>>929424
>>929425
looks like they are from the agavoides family. innit?
If they are fully in glas please don't put them somewhere into the full sunlight. even sucvulents can get burns which makes their leaves to die. however, the other outie here is right: older leaves tend to die with the time if the plant is in a grwowing phase.
the plant does have some proper ground besides those white stones?
>>929669
It is not fully glass but it only has the one pig porthole with a couple little ones around the sphere. I have been leaving it infront of a kitchen window that faces north (I am in the southern hemisphere).
Under the white stones is some black dirt.
I have too many questions and feel I'm polluting these threads. Are there any other forums you guys use to ask questions?
>>930405
Fell free to ask here. Garden web is another place. If you have a million honest questions, that's just fine.
Just don't be a dick to everyone, or at least tripfag if you're doing that.
>>930421
Okay then.
The first picture shows my pomegranate seedlings once again. They're all growing pretty well except the top right one which suddenly stopped growing. It also doesn't seem to have any roots on second inspection. Does it have potential to grow? Also I face the challenge of currently being in an apartment with no south facing window.
The second picture shows what I also want to try growing. Would starting these in the small 3 inch pots I have be viable?

How would I go about getting coca seeds in the US? I'd love to grow a plant and make tea out of the leaves but I see no way of actually being able to get the seeds.

You can use any sized pot so long as you are easily able to keep it properly moist. Pots that are way too small which dry out quickly are not good. Eventually, just repot as the plant starts to become root bound or old enough to withstand transplanting.

If you could get a leaf then maybe you could make some tissue culture plants. Coca-Cola gets leaves shipped to them, so all you have to do is get a job at a Coca-Cola factory, take a leaf, build a TC lab, then make your little plantlets and go nuts.
Pic related it's a home tissue culture lab.
>>930972
It's all so simple.
>>930975
Seriously though, I would try searching around online. I found this with a cursory search: https://www.bcseeds.com/product-category/coca-seeds/
And I saw some other sources as well. Who knows how legitimate these places are, but if there is a will then there is a way. Good luck m8.
>>931004
I saw this site but they seem sketchy to me. I might have to make a trip to the netherlands to get the real seeds or south america. In New Hampshire their aint much of a market for ethnobotany.

You MUST stratify lavender before it will grow.
Take two paper towels, mosten, put into plastic bag with seeds, and toss in freezer for a day. THEN plant them
>>931047
I was unaware of this method, thank you!
I was searching online though and it recommends putting it into the fridge for weeks. Does a day in the freezer do the job?
What plant is this?
>>932266
Gemini cactus. Very rare

Allegedly

I want to start some san pedro torch cactus seeds under a light here soon. Should I put the seeds in a normal small plant starter or should I mix up my own soil mix to get them going in that?
Does HOMEGROWMEN like my new potted plants setup?
>>933981
Left to right: Spring Onion, Celery, Tomato, Onions, Snow Peas.
>>933982
Closeup of the watering system. Using old water bottles with some drippers that are designed to attach to bottles. Seems to be working well. But I need to add mulch to some of the pots as it is FUCKING SUNNY here in Australia atm.
>>933985
Lads, how many peppers should I leave on my plant? If I leave all of them on there will they be smaller?
>>932549
The best way to start cactus seeds is in what's called "takeaway tek". Basically you use a soil mixed for cactus in a plastic sealed container, water them like once, spray the sides of the container with water, and then I think you can leave it up to 6 months without touching it again if you want. I use 50% perlite mixed with 50% potting soil. You should probably Google it for better answers, but that's the gist of it. Pic related is my setup.
>>934987
nice kektii bro, what species are they?
>>934015
Because I am a suburban pleb.
Update on garden: I am adding mulch to the tomatos and celery tomorrow, possibly also the onions and snow peas.
Got some lucerne hay.

Those were San Pedros, but I've got a few hundred total seedlings of various different kinds. Mostly Trichocereus, but I also have dragonfruit and prickly pear seedlings. I'm planning to breed a really strong Trichocereus hybrid out of the best seedlings. Last night I took my first shot at micropropagation with pereskiopsis and it looks pretty good this morning, no signs of mold. Hopefully those will all grow and I can start grafting the strong seedlings and really get my plan off the ground.
What's a good book on edible plants, currently looking at this one

Get to know someone traveling to Peru and have them bring back a bunch of dried leaves. I've got several coca tea bags. If the leaves are in a tea bag customs doesn't care.
