Where is your pile of dry leaves for tinder?
Are you Polish?

My campsite on the back acres o'er the seasons. I had a different spot for about 15 years but decided to move it back in 2013 because I figured the stockade that these two uprooted trees made was a much cozier spot, and it was. I'm moving away again though so it's time to say goodbye :'[

>>924464
Well that's really cool. And yeah, the lantern is so much nicer to have around than candles and such, imho.
>>
>>924467
yeah unfortunately i formatted the memory stick so I dont got the rest of the pictures, this was about mid day. after setup lowered the rough and moved the fire alot closer, it worked pretty well. We had probably 2 inches of snow the first night

it doesn't look very open in your photo. in fact you zioped it closed kust far enough to not be fully closed but still put the most strain on the zipper.

I would bet my wife's firstborn son that I spend twice as much time /out/ than you. because you use a fucking retarded meme stove.
>>
>>924751
how much water does ittake to get all the black soot off your pots? do you even wash the soot from the stove or just leave it for "flavor"?

yea, you know so much better than the guys that have been packing msr and snow peak for 50 years.

I notice how you don't actually have a pot cooking in your photo. also, who the fuck takes a picture of a stove?

you obviously are a pro outdoorsman.

Got off the mountain and debriefed around 1630 last night.
One main 2-lane highway between the mountain and home. On the way in, there was a semi in the ditch that had been there since Wednesday.
On the way out, they had shut down that highway around 1630 to get that semi out of the ditch.
Sat on that highway for about 3 hours. Parked.
Finally got back to the house around 2200... unload the trailer, throw some laundry through the wash, set out some of my gear to try and dry it out...
...then pack the truck/sled up again to leave at 0600.
Didn't get much sleep last night, since I was busy getting things reorg'd for a week-long trip.

I'm not /out/ for the camping, especially innawinter. I'm /out/ for the riding, and I'll be doing that a lot from now through mid-May.
