My dad grew up in backwoods Mississippi/Louisiana, and even thoigh we grew up in Texas hill country, he instilled in my younger brother and me an appreciation for hunting, fishing, fixing your own stuff, growing your own food, and making a way out of no way. We would visit his folks every summer and winter break and fish/hunt/swim/camp/cookout damn near everyday.

I also became a huge science nerd and got into bird watching, herpetology, and collecting insects.

As people get to know me, theyre usually surprised at how outdoorsy I am since meet most new people through my interests in rengaires, gaming, comics, and other geek stuff and my job as a case manager.
