Hey /out/ any opinions on this book?

It's not wrong but I'm sure more than one person has gotten killed thinking they could survive just having read this.
Also, I continue to object to muh nogunz bushcraft.

Reading about bushcraft is for tryhard stay-at-homes who watch this stupid shit on tv and youtube

I haven't read the book but I've watched a lot of his YouTube videos and while he's not Kochanski he appears to be a guy with common sense. That being said, why don't you just buy 'Bushcraft' by Mors Kochanski? That guy spent his adult life learning and teaching bushcraft back when bushcraft was not a thing.

There's not a single skill I can think of that you can't improve by reading. If you go out and learn by doing, you can easily waste hours, days or even years learning something you could have learnt in seconds by reading.

Trips don't lie.
There are no shortcuts to experience, but reading can keep you from making detours.

Its almost too basic to be of value, its just basically a bush craft 101 type of thing.
LIke a 100 level course in college, just enough to get you interested.

The follow on "Advanced Bush Craft" is barely beyond Bushcraft 101.
Anyone with an even autistic memory of everything in these needs to be with others with more experience a few times.

I have that and 400+ other survival books in PDF files on all my electronics. All I need is a solar panel, hand crank, or outlet to recharge them. I also have gigs upon gigs of internet-only info on the same subject (plus extra porn).
What I'm saying is, don't rely on a single source of information. At least you can use your book as tinder and it won't break if you drop it.

Yeah, I bring my e-reader which keeps a charge for a long ass time and a power pack. If I ever have to be out longer than that shit will work it's a SHTF situation.
