newfag problem here
whenever I try roping up a tarp, the rope fails to grip and the tarp sags.
How do I avoid saggy tarps, out?
Rope up as in tie up like a tent or bind up for storage?

whats this called,?

That's a hitch bro. Specifically a cow knot or some shit.
Look, tie a bowline to fixed objects because it's always easy to untie. When running a line around an object such as a tent stake loop or branch, run your line through the loop, then tie a hitch exactly like your picture. Slide it up and down to tension the line, the friction will keep it from sliding back down.

tie your hitch back onto the line***

Clove hitch.
I use a double half hitch, modified to incorporate a slip loop. It's adjustable and unties easily.

>avoid saggy traps when out
Why would you?
>>912662
did you deliberately misspell tarp or something
>>912403
Just like a butthole. Stretch that shit.

try putting prussic knots on the corners of the tarp where they connect to the ridgeline. It'll allow you to position the tarp exactly where you want it and keep it taught.
Also learn taught line hitch.

To toughen up you should boil your balls in salt water, like the Spartans used to.
