Layer up motherfucker. Generally what you're looking for is part of a suit that costs 1000+ USD
Two puffy's a flannel and a shell plus a warm base layer might work and run for 500-700$ total depending on what brands and features you look for

well if the only thing youre going to do in the cold weather is to sit, then sure the big warm jacket youre looking for is going to be great for you

but if you need it for when you take a break in the hike (or whatever youre doing), layers are more convenient
